Boss attacks: vamp attack 4

    William watched as the vogue vampire paced back and forth trapped behind the wall of holy symbols. The undead creature showed obvious signs of annoyance at being trapped and unable to feed.

 

    “You know I can grant you great fortune,” the vampire offered out of frustration, “gold piles so large that even the most senior dragons would be jealous with gems the size of your head.”

 

    “No,” William answered plainly with a growl, “there is nothing you can offer me that’ll convince me to let you out of that cage.”

 

    “What about freedom from the cycle of life and death that chains you mortals down,” the vampire asked with a sneer while licking his fangs. No answer came from William as he stared down the undead creature before him. Despite the bloodsucker’s best desperate offers, there was nothing he could offer that would convince William to set him free. With a whistle, William ignited the othala rune on his eye patch causing the vampire to recoil in pain from the holy symbol.
