Boss attacks: Varick Gives Zee Taser Punches

    The destructive path of the crystal wyrm needed to be stopped, but Varick was not about to fight it alone. As the mahogany Clydesdale raced down the powdered quartz-covered mountain, he passed Zee, a demon with fire-colored hair walking toward the beast. She didn’t look powerful, but she did have a determined look on her face.

    “Hey, that thing is dangerous,” Varick called as he stopped. “If you plan on fighting it, I suggest recruiting an army.” With disdain, the demon turned and punched the air, sending a blast of air at the horse. Varick deflected most of the blast using his mirror shield but still knocked him back.

    “I will defeat this wyrm by myself,” the demon hissed as she continued her ascent. Varick furrowed his brow as the horse started pulling red thread off his shoulder-mounted sewing kit. Working quickly, the tailor crafted two braided bracelets. Zee had made enough progress up the mountain, forcing Varick to run to catch up.

    “Here, take these. If you insist on fighting alone, then at the very least arm yourself appropriately,” the blonde horse insisted as he trusted his hand forward with the bracelets. Hesitantly the demon took the bracelets and put them on before continuing their pursuit. Once Zee caught up to the serpentine dragon discovered the bracelet’s magic combined with her own to make lightning punches. Each strike now produced a shocking effect that damaged the crystalline dragon better than using air alone. The demon made a mental note to get more of these bracelets once she defeated the crystal wyrm.
