Boss attacks: Duocast Kaytlyn and Bertrand

    “In the blue corner, standing at six foot three inches, weighing in at 132 pounds, is the raven doctor that loves to be a cut-up, Bertrand,” Franz the cape penguin announces to the crowded arena. “And in the red corner is the guild intern with the pink mech of justice, Kaytlyn inside the F3NN3C P1NK armor!”  

    Bertrand excitedly waved at the crowd, although he wasn’t exactly sure how he got there or why a flightless bird acted as the announcer. He smiled under the plague doctor mask, ready to take on this new challenge. Kaytlyn jumped up and down in her mech suit, using her wrist blasters to shoot flowers out to the crowd. The young fennec had no reason to fight the doctor, but Franz insisted on some combat training, and then boom, they were here.

    Bertrand quickly charged the pink fox mech as the bell rang with his scalpel ready. F3NN3C P1NK grabbed their collapsable staff and blocked the first swipe of the surgical blade. The masked raven tried to break through the pink mech’s defenses using precise strikes, but her helmet gave her predictive blocks; none of the strikes were landing. Kaytlyn decided to seize the offensive and activated the energy blade on the staff. The mech armor used its superior reach to force Bertrand to back away. She was slower in the armor, but with the strength advantage, the corvid in the plague mask had no choice but to dodge all the attacks.

    Bertrand was starting to run out of steam when the opportunity presented itself to get in a winning strike. Ducking under a bladed staff slice, the raven doctor rolled and struck the pink mech in the chest. Both combatants stopped and watched as the scalpel plinked off the metal of F3NN3C P1NK’s plated chest. Kaytlyn tapped Bertrand on the head with the blunt end of the bladed staff, sending the doctor sprawling and knocked out.

    “We have our winner,” Franz called out as confetti fell from the ceiling. “Kaytlyn with the knockout!”
