Boss attacks: Flash 2-3

“V-Varick, you and Raine have been together for awhile now. H-How did you know it was true love,” Twig nervously asked the blonde Clydesdale. The equine tailor smiled at his jackalope friend and pondered the question momentarily. This question was difficult to answer for most people as love wasn’t a quantifiable thing to be easily explained.

 

    “Well it was kind of like… hold on,” Varick pulls his violin case out of his bag. “Theres a song that played in my heart when I met Raine. At first it was quiet and noncohesive but as we got to know each other I realized that if I had them, that’d be the only thing I’d ever need.” \

 

Without another word, the tailor tucked the violin under his chin and put the bow to the strings. Blue and purple flames leaped from the instrument as the horse began to play. The song started slow but picked up speed as the chorus set in. Varick danced and played to the amazement of Twig as the Clydesdale’s mane and tail caught in the same blue and purple flames.

 

“D-do you think everyone feels love like that,” the jackalope inquired while clapping for the performance.

 

“I think everyone’s love has a song, but I’d like to believe everyone’s love song is different and unique,” Varick answered with a bow. “Song is always playing you’ve just got to find the right person to turn up the volume.”
