DoA - Drawlloween 2020: Mummies on a Ship

Trellia swam gracefully through the water, feeling the cool waters washing over her as she moved through the large wooden beams of the ship. Large holes were scattered around, barnacles and small seaweeds growing through on the soften, rotting wood. The sails supported by the mainmast were in tatters but were still clinging on by ropes and a few failing ties, the dull wood no longer gleaming in the light as it used to. Arrays of fish slowly swam around the ship as well, avoiding the gently moving and swaying sails. The bowsprit was broken, clearly the demise of the ship was that it had hit a large, mountainous rock, barely more than a tiny island over the water, but underneath, the rock was incredibly large.

Trellia gave a trill in delight as she swam through the sail, delightfully and elegantly twisting and turning through the white, gently moving sails. She may have been alone for the most part, aside from the fish swimming around her. She trilled again, looping backwards over the mast, before diving down towards the open doors to the back of the ship. But moments later, she gave a squeak in alarm as she twisted around to be upright once more, pulling herself to a stop as three pairs of ruby eyes looked to them.

Red Tail looked startled upon seeing the glittering horn on the dolphins nose suddenly diving down, then rapidly stopping, before him. He was simply exploring the ship, the dragon curious to see what it even was. He’d seen it from a distance, but never up close and personal. Red hadn’t really expected anyone else to be remotely close to him. He rumbled softly, slightly apologetic as he didn’t mean to startle them, especially judging by the squeak that they’d made.

He tilted his head to the side, curiously, a small chirp coming from him as he moved out from the shadows of the ship, two sets of eyes closing, trying to show that he wasn’t that scary. “What are you doing out here?”

Trellia looked surprised, turning to swim slightly back the way she’d come, a small, mischievous smile coming onto her face. “Just exploring the mummies on the ship~”

Red frowned, watching as shimmering red tail ascend, fascinated as it almost matched his own. “Mummies…? On a… ship?”

He went to ask a few more questions, but it turned into a growl as something caught his eyes. Below her, several creatures seemed to bleed through the flooring of the deck, slowly pulling themselves together to create some sort of… Undead… creatures, kelp wrapped around their forms, their eyes glowing a green eyes ‘looking’ towards him, making him growl in return.

“Exactly.” Trellia replied, voice a bit too high but sounding in amusement.

Red was going to move, before he heard the dolphin speak, the pitch bright and high in amusement, making him pause. He looked up to her, then back down to those creatures, noticing that both seemed to have slightly glowing green eyes. He suddenly seemed rather excited, shown by the amusement was on his face.

“Well, I suppose you got me there!” He laughed, grinning widely up at Trellia, the dolphin chirping once more, before twisting around to continue looping the ship, mummies beginning to dissolve into the water.
