DoA - Drawlloween 2020: Sasquatch Watch

Malachite had a look of a slight arrogance to him, Spessartine, his poor accomplice for this current new quest of his, following him, just a few metres behind. She raised an eyeridge behind his back, somewhat suspicious that he just didn't actually know where he was going or what he was looking for. The duo were close to the sand, large walls of rock either side of them. 

 

"Are you sure that you know what you're doing?" Spessartine asked him, the emerald dragon glancing over his shoulder to look back to her, a firm nod coming from him.

 

"I'm almost certain - there's been multiple rumours of this abnormal creature recently... Some dragons even claim to have seen its giant footprint in the ground. So why not check it out and see if it's true ourselves?" Malachite offered, grinning widely, although Spessartine couldn't see. The amber and fushia dragon shook her head, giving a heavy huff as she somewhat glared daggers into the back of his skull.

 

"Maybe because it's difficult to see anything down here, there doesn't seem to be any form of open ground down here, we're swimming through what's basically a ravine and there seems to be little to no life down here anyway. What could it feed on if there's no wildlife down here?" Spessartine asked, frowning. Malachite didn't seem too phased by her question, simply rolling his shoulder in a shrug.

 

"Well, apparently this creature doesn't need to eat... And it's some massive monster, hidden in the Giant Kelp Forest." He spoke, his voice deliberately suddenly soft, eerie, but that wasn't well accepted and it made Spessartine snarl.

 

"Oh stop trying to be mystical!" She snapped, following Malachite around a corner, before she bumped into his rump. She opened her maw to apologise, only to catch wispy, large shapes moving back and forest, like giant trees. There was no signs of life, but she couldn't help but slowly be drawn forward, mystified by the sight of the Giant Kelp Forest before them. 

 

"This is where he's apparently been sighted..." Malachite rumbled, looking over the forest, before his face began to pale.

 

But... There it was. 

 

A large, dark shape loomed in the distance, slowly coming closer, its outline unclear, seemingly rippling with seaweed. Malachite seemed shocked, Spessartine's eyes wide in terror. The shape came closer, even the lifeless sand shimmered in fear.

 

"T-That's it! It's Bigfoot!" He said, voice purely fear, before the emerald dragon turned around and swam, tail metaphorically between his legs in terror, Spessartine yelping and following suit, not wanting to face this monster alone.

 

Instead of pursing them... The creature moved backwards once more, amused by the fact those visitors never stayed for more than a few moments.
