Chapter 63: duocast Kaytlyn and Aprika - Godspawn

β€œOh good you’re here,” Kaytlyn greeted the half-orc Apirka at the door right as it fell off the hinges. β€œIgnore that and come in. As discussed in my letter I have a bit of a pest problem I need help with.”

β€œWhat is the issue? Dog-sized rats or maybe spiders the size of horses? Doesn’t matter, I’ll fight them all the same,” Apirka laughed as she cracked her knuckles and followed the young fennec inside the dilapidated mansion. Kaytyln walked around the many holes in the floor while Apirka just floated across.

β€œMore of an eldritch horror problem, but Franz found a way to deal with her in his book,” the small fox explained as they passed the penguin reading the light novel Cthulhu After Dark vol. 5 on a crumbling chair. β€œOnly issue is that she currently has the high ground.” Around a corner, a girl with elongated black eyes, an inhumane mantis arm, and several brick-shaped bruises paced back and forth defensively at the top of the stairs.

β€œSo you want me to fly up there and knock her down so we can take her out together,” Apirka inquired, ready to launch herself at the creature.

β€œNo, she’ll be expecting that,” Kaytlyn shook her head before standing with her arms up. β€œThrow me at her and we’ll catch the beast by surprise!”

The half-orc paused for a moment before shrugging and picking up the fox girl. There was sound reasoning there. Who would expect a flying fennec fusillade? With a mighty throw, Apirka threw Kaytlyn at the Godspawn with all of her might. The small sandy-furred fox girl flew at high speeds with Brick Brick ready to strike. With a hiss, the eldritch beast tried to duck, but the half-orc’s aim was true. Kaytlyn struck true, knocking the Godspawn from its perch to the ground with blood streaming from its nose and mouth.

β€œQuite good, thank you, ma’am,” Franz lauded Apirka as he waddled by with a sponge and a bucket. β€œCan’t let this blood go to waste.”
