Chapter 64: duocast Kaytlyn and Dee - Godspawn

Dee arrived at the run-down mansion clutching the scrap of paper that had slipped under his door. Was this the right place? No lights were on, and the front door was off its hinges.

β€œDee! Come in,” Kaytlyn exclaimed as the small fennec appeared in the doorway. β€œFollow me! We have work to do!” Before Dee could ask any questions, the sandy-furred fox girl disappeared back into the house.

β€œWait! What’s this task that makes use of my specialties,” the white shifter tried to ask as he quickly followed Kaytlyn into the dark mansion. Walking through the halls, he passed a room with the Godspawn chasing Franz in circles. It’s about time someone gave that bird a good thrashing. A few rooms down, the eldritch horror chased the penguin around the ceiling. The same type of scene played out in several rooms until Dee caught up with Kaytlyn.

β€œSo all I need you to do is paint this symbol on the ceiling,” the fox girl explained, holding up a volume of the Cthulhu After Dark light novel series. A roller brush on a log pole was lying next to a bucket of unknown liquid. β€œIf you copy the sigil accurately, you can have any leftover eldritch blood.”

That was all the incentive Dee needed to set to work. He worked carefully and used the long brush to paint the designated sigil on the ceiling. A few times, the page on the book flipped by accident, revealing that it probably wasn’t an accurate eldritch tome or one Kayltyn should have access to. Once Dee finished the job, he went with his delicious bucket of Eldritch blood.
